The Role
The Corporate Component Engineer, is responsible for assess the performance and compatibility of various parts, identify potential risks, and select the most suitable components to meet design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Component and Technical Advice at Corporate level
- Check, confirm and notify internally on the component EOL and PCN.
- Validate and feedback the acceptance of alternatives to procurement team.
- Work with procurement team to propose alternative to achieve better cost or replacement for EOL parts.
- Provide technical advice to procurement team and other personnel.
ERP System Item Data Maintenance
- Ensure Item Data integrity.
- Continually learn and improve the efficiency of the system performance.
- Clustering materials into different commodity group.
System/Program Maintenance
- Participate any program from IBUs which related to components or technical topics which assigned by superior.
General Management
- Execute policies and strategies of Corporate Procurement.
Skills & Experience

Technical
- Expertise in electronics components, able to interpret specification and technical data comparison.
- Experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical parts are a plus.
- Basic knowledge about system (ERP and QW) is an advantage.
Academic/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electronics or electrical discipline
- Minimum 2 years working experience as Component or Process Engineer, or in relevant fields.
- Experience in PCBA design is an advantage.
