The Role
The Test Engineer, is responsible for designing and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of a product.
Key Responsibilities
- As a member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, responsible for managing and executing NPI projects which include scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Responsible for tester setup, buyoff and release processes.
- Preparing and maintaining documentation such as work instructions and tester troubleshooting guides.
- Conducting test coverage analysis and collaborating with customers and test development teams to optimize coverage.
- Support ECO implementation on test process.
- Managing test programs, including version control, change tracking, and backups.
- Driving continuous improvements in product test yields and tester stability.
- Enhancing tester capabilities, improving test coverage, and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Providing training and technical support to test technicians on tester troubleshooting.
- Assisting in PCBA failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Supporting test processes and software validation for medical products.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in PCBA test processes.
- Strong familiarity with PCBA testing, including In-Circuit Test (ICT) and Functional Circuit Test (FCT) systems.
- Solid understanding of test development methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages and tools such as LabVIEW, Visual Basic (VB), C++, and scripting.
