The Role
The Test Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving tester and functional test systems to ensure reliable tester performance and minimize production downtime. The role also supports tester setup, debugging, preventive maintenance, NPI and engineering changes, while ensuring tester readiness, capability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve tester downtime issues promptly to minimize production impact.

Ensure availability of support during production runs to minimize production impact.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring tester failures.

Maintain and upgrade test systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

Perform new tester & ICT/MDA setup, debugging, and buy-off, ensuring the tester & ICT/MDA meets performance targets defined by Management, including GR&R and Cpk studies for both in-house and customer-consigned testers.

Perform preventive maintenance on testers.

Responsible for the tester continuous improvement towards tester optimization, test yield improvement and tester downtime reduction.

Responsible for creating Passed/Failed test samples.

Ensure availability and control of tester spare parts.

Support NPI and engineering change activities by ensuring tester readiness and capability.

Prepare complete test documentation for the tester.

Perform any other duties assigned by superior.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in PCBA and functional test systems troubleshooting.
- Strong experience in automated test systems and instrumentation troubleshooting.
- Experience in tester setup, debugging, buy-off and preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of GR&R and Cpk studies for tester performance evaluation.
- Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action for tester failures.
- Good understanding of tester continuous improvement, test yield improvement and downtime reduction.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, committed, result-oriented and as a good team player.
