JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and providing strategic insights to support the organisation's growth.
- Produces on time reports and all other reports required from corporate management from time to time including analysis of variances from budget.
- Cash flow management and forecasting.
- Liaising with Auditors and arranging on-site access.
- The preparation of year end accounts for audit.
- Production of Balance sheets.
- Drives the annual budgeting process according to corporate requirements, involving all relevant employees in the process. Present the budget on time to the corporate management team for approval.
- Day-to-day credit control including checking existing credit limits to ensure at an appropriate level. Investigate and put forward recommendations if required.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements ensuring the company complies at all times with the current law and with all required company secretarial matters.
- Ensures that all tax declarations and tax payments are made correctly and on time·
- The day-to-day management of the Accounts department which includes direct supervision and development of staff.
- Provide support to all accounts staff, checking and developing processes as needed and ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role within finance or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Experience in commercial or industrial environment.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
