The Role

The Process Technician, is responsible for ensuring the manufacturing and production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.  Hands-on with equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting, while monitoring process parameters to maintain product quality and meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Engineers on functions e.g. DOE (Design of Experiments) to optimize process parameters 
  • Assist in process trials, validation runs, and ramp-up support for new products 
  • Assist to prepare engineering documentations including ECN, BOM, WI, FMEA, Control Plan, Process Validation and SOP 
  • Support production teams in resolving process-related issues. 
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting for process deviations and non-conformance issues to ensure production downtime are minimized.  
  • Work on continuous improvement projects (Kaizen) to enhance efficiency and reduce waste 
  • Conduct buy-off and qualification of new jigs, fixtures, and tooling. 
  • Responsible for workbench ESD and trolley ESD compliance in production areas. 
  • Perform first-level ESD maintenance on workbenches: 
    • ESD mat changeover to maintain electrostatic discharge control. 
    • Trolley ESD chain maintenance to prevent failures 

Skills & Experience

  • Preferably have 2 years similar working experience 

  • Good knowledge in PCBA process, Box Build Assembly, Jigs and Fixture design concepts 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

 Qualifications 

  • Preferably a Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
